Spain has 5/10 of the world’s most popular beaches
27 December, 2023The world’s most popular beaches are spread across several countries but the Top 10 is undoubtedly dominated by Spain which has five. Mallorca takes the top spot, with three of them: Cala Agulla, which leads the ranking; Cala Gran, located in the tourist resort of Cala d’Or, in 5th place; and Cala Domingos, in Calas de Mallorca, in 6th place. All of them are on the island’s Levante coast.
There are also two other beaches in the ranking, this time on the mainland. Llevant beach in Salou (Tarragona) and La Granadella beach in Jávea (Alicante), which are in second and tenth place respectively in the ranking based on a study by FloridaPanhandle, which has mapped the most popular beaches in each country.
