Moxy Hotels prepare to open a hotel in Barcelona in 2024
3 January, 2024Moxy Hotels will enter Spain with its hotel in Barcelona, scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2024. Located in the Sants district, next to the AVE high-speed train station, Moxy Barcelona will be close to the historic city centre and the FC Barcelona stadium. It will have 414 rooms with a spacious walk-in shower, smart HD TV and private balcony.
There’ll be a rooftop terrace on the 10th floor with a swimming pool, a chill out area with cabanas, a bar and pop up food stalls, all with views of the city. Added to this is a fully equipped gym, nine meeting rooms and Plug In, Moxy’s communal area that functions as a co-working area and leisure lounge.
It was in 2013 that Marriott International began developing the Moxy Hotels concept, a brand with larger, more dynamic common areas that take space away from the rooms. Its hotels have no reception desk, instead guests check in at the bar, where they pick up their key while they have a drink.
