Iberia, among the 10 most punctual airlines in the world in 2023
10 January, 2024The Spanish flag carrier, Iberia, was one of the most punctual airlines in the world in 2023, coming in fifth place in a ranking that includes airlines from all over the world, and which has been drawn up by the international consultancy firm Cirium. According to the report, 84.72% of Iberia’s flights arrived on time.
To determine which airlines are the most punctual of the year, the international consultancy firm researched more than 35 million flights, including schedules and fleets. According to the criteria applied, punctuality is defined as arriving within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of the scheduled arrival time.
“In 2023, the industry experienced significant growth, with over 32 million flights scheduled. This growth, coupled with the increase in seat capacity, underlines the expansion of the sector,” stated Cirium. Iberia was ahead of Latam Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Saudia and American Airlines.
