The city of Cádiz will have its first five-star hotel
31 January, 2024In 2026 the Meliá Hotels International chain will open the first luxury hotel in the historic centre of Cádiz, which will operate under the Meliá Collection brand. The opening will follow the refurbishment of two historic buildings located on Alameda Apodaca. The project will be carried out through the transformation and restoration of two adjoining architecturally protected properties.
The new establishment will be located in the San Carlos district. These are the old baroque palace house built for the Marquise of Casa Recaño in 1760 and another Elizabethan-style estate from the late 18th century. The future luxury hotel will have 40 rooms, a restaurant with a terrace facing the Alameda, a rooftop with a pool, a gym and a wellness area.
The Meliá Collection portfolio is made up of a selection of luxury hotels with an independent spirit, which preserve their charm and breathe the history and personality of the destinations in which they are located. With this new establishment, the hotel continues to drive the growth of this boutique brand and strengthens its position in the luxury segment in Spain.
