Lopesan starts three hotel projects in the south of Gran Canaria
14 February, 2024Lopesan Hotel Group will begin work on three projects in the Meloneras area in southern Gran Canaria in the first quarter of the year. José Alba, general manager of the group’s hotel division, stressed that the works will help to “renew the quality hotel offer of the destination”.
The first of these projects in southern Gran Canaria involves the construction of a hotel with a luxury villa format, comprising 135 units, while the second project will consist of the expansion of the Lopesan Villa del Conde Resort & Thalasso hotel, adding an annexe of some 128 Premium rooms to its portfolio.
The third of the actions proposed by Lopesan in Meloneras will have to wait a little longer, as the 5-star, 956-room themed hotel project needs to be developed “calmly and patiently, as the aim is to create a unique tourist product in Europe”, said Alba in relation to this ambitious initiative.
