The Repsol Guide will award 81 new Suns to Spanish restaurants
13 March, 2024With Begoña Rodrigo of La Salita restaurant as the only winner of the 3 Suns of the Repsol Guide 2024, a total of 98 Spanish restaurants have increased the list of this guide, which has expanded the category of two Suns with 16 more establishments and that of one Sun with 81, proof of the quality and the good period of Spanish gastronomy.
With the new additions announced at the gala held on the evening of 4 March in Cartagena (Murcia), the gastronomic panorama of this 2024 guide now includes 764 restaurants: 44 three Suns, 168 two Suns and 552 one Sun. The communities are divided like this: Catalonia (115), Community of Madrid (101), Euskadi (71), Andalucía (74), Valencia (60) and Castilla y León (59) have the most shining Suns.
The president of Repsol, Antoni Brufau, has highlighted “the indispensable role of female chefs in gastronomy, who this year are at the top of the ranking, demonstrating the potential of long-standing, committed and sustainable projects, which claim the environment and lead the way”.
