Baleària to connect Ibiza with Dènia and Palma this summer
27 March, 2024The shipping company Baleària has asked Ports of the Balearic Islands for a berth in the Port of Sant Antoni to operate new maritime services from this Ibizan port to Dénia and Palma this summer 2024, starting on the 14th of June until the 30th of September. The services, which will be exclusively for passengers and cars, will be operated by the fast ferry Cecilia Payne.
The company will schedule a daily service between the port of Sant Antoni and Dénia. The departure from the mainland to Sant Antoni will be at 9:00 a.m., while the return will be at 9:15 p.m., with a crossing time of under two hours. Likewise, four connections a week will be operated with the port of Palma from Friday to Monday, with each trip lasting two and a half hours.
The Cecilia Payne has a capacity for 800 people and is one of the fastest ships in the shipping company’s fleet, as it can reach a maximum speed of 38 knots. The ship, which has been recently refurbished, has different seating lounges, children’s area, cafeterias, shop and pet area, as well as digital entertainment on demand.
