Challenge Paguera-Mallorca wants to repeat as the best race in the world
3 April, 2024The tenth edition of the international middle distance triathlon Challenge Paguera-Mallorca will be held on 19 October in Peguera (Calvià). The event has established itself as one of the most spectacular and important on the European circuit. A half distance (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running) of great quality that year after year brings together some of the most important stars of the sport.
The event celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024 and has proved to be vital in the fight against seasonal tourism in the Paguera area. This international event contributes, among other things, to generating stays and direct economic impact in the area during the last fortnight of October. The economic impact is around 4.5 million euros per edition.
In the Challenge Paguera-Mallorca around 1,200 participants take part in the main event (80 % international, 15 % national, and 5 % local), over 500 in the parallel events and over 5,000 between assistants and participants. The Challenge Family circuit currently has more than 40 races around the world.
