Spain's municipalities leading the drive for sustainability
10 April, 2024The Alianza de Municipios Turísticos Sol y Playa (AMT) stresses that social sustainability is a key element to ensure the well-being of residents and visitors. The members of this group are working to identify these destinations as 'Blue', taking into account the experience and enjoyment of the sea and its resources, while promoting sustainability and respect for the environment.
The mayors of the eight Spanish municipalities that make up the Alliance reinforced their commitment “to continue to be leading municipalities in decision-making related to the sustainability of destinations”, as they explained. The initiative aims to promote the well-being of residents and visitors, while respecting natural resources, especially the sea.
