The Alhambra, in the Top 10 of World Heritage
1 May, 2024Granada appears once again in the Top 10 of the cities to visit to discover its heritage and culture. And this is thanks to the most famous monument in the province and one of the most visited in the world. It’s the Alhambra, the place where beauty merges with history and you’ll need lots of time to fully get to know it.
According to UN Tourism (formerly known as WTO), cultural tourism accounts for 40% of world tourism, while a Eurobarometer study indicates that the cultural offer of the destination is one of the most influential factors in deciding where to go on holiday.
Similarly, an independent survey commissioned by tour and activity specialist TUI Musement revealed that cultural visits are one of the most requested travel activities. This preference was reflected in the 2023 experience trends with World Heritage Sites featuring in many of the most sought-after excursions over the past year.
