The concept of sustainable glamping extends throughout Spain
29 May, 2024Meridia Capital Partners has bought a new campsite in Spain to establish “a sustainable glamping platform” in cooperation with wecamp. The total investment has not been disclosed, but confirms the funds' interest in this segment of extra-hotel accommodation.
The campsite, located in Jávea (Valencian Community), was acquired in April and occupies an area of 4.8 hectares. It has 12 lodgings and 200 plots. This purchase represents Meridia’s entry into one of the most valued areas of the Region of Valencia. A repositioning investment is planned to raise the quality of the campsite and introduce the wecamp brand.
This was Meridia’s twelfth acquisition to establish a sustainable glamping platform with wecamp. The fund is committed to transforming traditional campsites “into a new concept of sustainable hospitality” in the open air and with cutting-edge design.
