A new luxury hotel-ship wants to set up in Seville

7 August, 2024

The Port Authority of Seville has initiated the project competition procedure in relation to the application for an administrative concession presented by Sunborn Spain, a company of the Finnish group Sunborn, for the berthing of a long-stay hotel-ship in the city.

According to the agency, the ship would dock at the southern end of the Muelle de las Delicias; specifically, in the area of the sheet of water between the Aquarium of Seville and the bridge of Las Delicias, where a high-end vessel with a maximum length of 144 metres and a beam of 23 metres would operate.

This ship would revitalise the current Delicias area and would present a more diversified tourist and leisure offer, adapted to congress tourism and would represent an innovative alternative compatible with the activity in the dock, as well as making the most of the potential of the sheet of water as a tourist attraction.
