The Meliá Collection hotel brand debuts in Madrid
21 August, 2024Meliá Hotels International has opened the doors of the new Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection hotel in the heart of Madrid’s Barrio de las Letras, offering a luxury proposal that combines art, culture and relaxation. This opening marks the arrival of The Meliá Collection brand on the Peninsula, in addition to two other establishments in Tenerife and Mallorca.
The universal writer Miguel de Cervantes, the “most illustrious neighbour of the Barrio de las Letras”, has inspired the aesthetic line of the transformation of the building of the former Hotel Madrid Atocha, Affiliated by Meliá. The project was developed by architects Adriana and Alvaro Sans of Estudio ASAH.
The Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection hotel pays homage to the seven fine arts through a decoration with details such as Gustave Doré’s engravings he did for the 1869 edition of Don Quixote, which are available in all 137 rooms and suites.
