Hyatt to open 5* hotel in Almeria resort
18 September, 2024The Cosentino family office has signed an agreement with a subsidiary of Hyatt Hotels Corporation whereby the Macenas Mediterranean Resort will have a Destination by Hyatt branded hotel, oriented towards luxury holiday tourism and events. The establishment will be the first 5-star hotel in the Almeria town of Mojácar.
The ownership of the new complex will invest over 40 million euros in its construction, which is scheduled to start by the end of the year and be completed in 2026. It is set to be one of the driving forces of tourist employment in the province and to break the seasonality of the sector, as it is estimated that it could generate around 110 direct and indirect jobs to offer the widest range of services 365 days a year.
The project, developed by GCA Architects, is based on the parameters of Mediterranean architecture, with an organic and sustainable design inspired by the tradition of this Andalusian region of building on terraces to allow its total integration into the surroundings, which will be key.
