Andalusia adds a new tourist town to its tourist offer

The Andalusian Government has approved the declaration of the town of Olvera, in Cádiz, as a Tourist Municipality of Andalusia. It thus becomes the tenth in this province to obtain such recognition.

The municipality of Olvera accredits that it meets 16 of the 17 assessment criteria and only 10 are needed to achieve recognition as a tourist municipality. The documentation presented by the Olvera City Council shows that 40,270 people visited the municipality between 1 January and 31 December 2022.

The existing tourist offer and infrastructure includes five Sites of Cultural Interest and natural resources such as the Peñón de Zaframagón Nature Reserve, the Sierra de Líjar and the Vía Verde de la Sierra. There are 2,269 beds available for tourist accommodation.
