Jet2 to fly to 9 Spanish destinations from its new London base
27 November, 2024The airline Jet2.com has announced the opening of its 13th UK base at London Luton Airport, from where it will fly to 17 destinations directly, 9 of them in Spain. Operations will commence on 1 April 2025.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said that with both airlines landing in London-Luton “we will be able to make it easier for our customers to holiday in their favourite country, Spain”.
Jet2’s new connections to Spain
• Alicante: the city will have four flights a week in summer from the new base.
• Girona: the route will be a Jet2.com exclusive with weekly flights on Sundays, positioning the airline as the second main carrier for this airport.
• Reus: it will have two flights a week, Mondays and Thursdays, and Jet2.com will be the main airline between the UK and Reus and offering the most routes by summer 2025.
• Fuerteventura: weekly flights on Sundays.
• Lanzarote: two flights a week, Tuesdays and Fridays.
• Gran Canaria: two flights a week, Mondays and Fridays.
• Tenerife South: two flights a week, Mondays and Fridays
• Ibiza: two flights a week, Mondays and Fridays.
• Mallorca: It is the most important airport in Spain for Jet2.com’s operations in terms of passengers and the new route will have a peak of six flights a week. This will be the first flight from the new base on 1 April.
