Experience tourism: inland destinations are key in Spain

4 December, 2024

Experience tourism, focused on cultural and heritage offerings, gastronomy and nature, are the aces with which inland destinations are claiming their place in order to make diversification and deseasonalisation a reality. Tourism is becoming more and more avant-garde and forward-looking, without forgetting that quality is vital if it is to be an alternative to other forms of tourism.

These are some of the key issues that were discussed at Intur Talks, the kick-off of the twenty-seventh edition of the International Inland Tourism Fair (Intur), which was held in November at the Valladolid Trade Fair, bringing together experiences related to culture, gastronomy, historical heritage and nature. And it has relied on the collaboration of Turespaña.

In the preface to the official start of the fair, INTUR Negocios brought together over 60 tour operators and travel agencies in the city for the professional day. A space that has also hosted the INTUR Talks forum as a “space for debate on the future of Tourism”, as pointed out by the Director General of Tourism of Castilla y León, Ángel González.
