Fira de Barcelona breaks records with 270 events to be held in 2024
15 January, 2025Fira de Barcelona closed 2024 with a record turnover of €300 million, 16% more than the previous year, and a pre-tax profit of around €20 million, in a context of constant growth of its activity. The trade fair institution has brought forward its forecasts for 2025, expecting to exceed the cited revenue figure while maintaining the number of events.
The 2024 results are the result of holding up to 270 shows, congresses and other events at its venues (Montjuïc, Gran Via and the Barcelona International Convention Centre, CCBI), including events such as the Mobile World Congress, as well as those co-organised abroad.
In 2024, it hosted events such as the MWC, Alimentaria, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Smart City Expo World Congress, Seafood, Hispack and medical congresses. Other notable events were the Unesco World Forum against Racism and Discrimination and the McDonalds global convention, which was held for the first time outside the USA.
