Barcelona launches a new brand aimed at cultural tourism
22 January, 2025The Turisme de Barcelona consortium has presented ‘Barcelona Art Season’, a new brand created to promote the city as a cultural artistic capital, as part of the consortium’s strategy for 2025, which focuses on attracting quality tourists and also includes promoting congresses that attract investment.
‘Barcelona Art Season’ kicks off with a major alliance with Barcelona’s museums and exhibition centres to promote the city as a cultural destination, for which the consortium will also participate for the first time in the ARCO art fair. The project consists of identifying the exhibitions that can bring the most branding to the city in order to convince cultural tourists to visit Barcelona to see culture and, at the same time, enjoy the rest of the tourist offer.
The exhibitions in the Catalan capital act as tractors of this tourism, such as those that can be seen or will be seen in the coming months: Miró Matisse; Art en Piedra; Miró en América, Zurbarán; Ubu, pintor or Panafrica, among others.
