Which Spanish airline was the most punctual in Europe in 2024?
22 January, 2025The global aviation data analytics platform Cirium has presented its annual On-time Performance report for 2024, which highlights that a Spanish airline has been ranked as the most punctual operator in Europe and the leader in the low-cost segment.
In the worldwide ranking, Iberia ranked eighth in the Top 10 most punctual global airlines, with an OTP of 81.58% of its flights arriving on time. Moreover, its subsidiary Iberia Express - a member of the International Airlines Group (IAG) - succeeded as the most punctual airline in Europe and the most punctual low-cost airline in the world.
According to the parameters defined by Cirium, an on-time flight is defined as one that arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival gate. For airports, it is defined as departing within 15 minutes of scheduled departure.
