Marriott to open a new luxury hotel in Madrid in 2025
29 January, 2025Luxury Group by Marriott International, which has a portfolio of over 500 luxury hotels and 260 under development, will open more than 30 in iconic destinations around the world in 2025. Spain will be no exception, as The Luxury Collection brand will add its sixth hotel in the country, following the refurbishment of the Palace Hotel in Madrid.
The chain announced an “exciting new chapter of global growth and strategic expansion” with its brands The Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, W Hotels, Edition, JW Marriott and Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts. Three openings “in coveted and emerging destinations” will take place before the end of 2024.
The American chain’s commitment to high-end hospitality is a response to the fact that “the new rich, particularly millennials and Generation Z, are reshaping luxury travel”, prioritising unparalleled experiences, deep social connections and transformative adventures over material wealth.
