The Spanish beach that Lonely Planet ranks among the 10 best in the world
29 January, 2025The prestigious travel guide Lonely Planet has published its list of the best beaches in the world for 2025, highlighting one in Spain, Ses Illetes in Formentera, ranked tenth. This recognition places Ses Illetes alongside internationally renowned beaches. This beach, located on the northern tip of the island, is part of the Ses Salines Natural Park.
It is known for its crystalline turquoise waters and fine white sand, characteristics that give it a similar appearance to Caribbean beaches. This natural environment offers ideal conditions for activities such as swimming and snorkelling. In addition, its calm and shallow waters make it particularly suitable for families with children.
Access to Ses Illetes can be by car, motorbike, bicycle or on foot. It is important to note that, in order to preserve the natural environment, a small fee is required when entering by motor vehicle, while pedestrian or bicycle access is free of charge. The beach has several restaurants and beach bars offering local gastronomy.
