Marriott ready to open its second Spanish hotel in Madrid
5 February, 2025Marriott International has announced that it will open the second hotel of its flagship brand, Marriott Hotels, in Spain this spring. Specifically, it will do so in an iconic establishment in Madrid, the Princesa Plaza hotel, which has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment in recent months.
The hotel, with 414 rooms and 1,000 m2 of meeting space, is part of the Selenta portfolio, owned by Brookfield, and aims to become a benchmark for MICE tourism in the capital. The main tower has 275 rooms, including 96 with panoramic views over the Madrid skyline, 12 suites and a completely renovated lobby with a cocktail bar.

The building annexed to the main tower, which is still being remodelled, will offer 139 new rooms, making a total of 414. The hotel will also have a restaurant and 1,000 m2 of open space divided into 10 rooms with natural light, which will allow for all kinds of events, from small meetings to conferences and banquets for 400 people.
