The great Gran Canaria gastro moment
12 February, 2025Gran Canaria shone at Madrid Fusion, presenting its most contemporary gastronomic offerings from the island. The restaurants responsible for the offerings were La Aquarela (1 Michelin Star and 2 Repsol Suns), Palmera Sur, Sábor and Berro Bistró, accompanied by sommeliers Nikola Ivicic (La Aquarela), Borja Suárez (Sábor) and Jessica Jorge.
“This eighth edition of Madrid Fusión in which Gran Canaria is participating is the consolidation of the fantastic moment that our gastronomy is experiencing, an industry that has become another potential of our island. Here you can see how our cuisine and our zero-kilometre products attract a lot of attention,” explained Carlos Álamo, Tourism councillor of Gran Canaria.

Over the three days of the event, some thirty professionals have passed through, showcasing the island’s gastronomic offer from the renovated 60-metre stand that Gran Canaria has this year.
