The top two Spanish regions in hotel bookings
26 February, 2025Of the six autonomous communities in Spain with the highest number of overnight hotel stays: (the Canaries, the Balearics, Catalonia, Andalusia, the Region of Valencia and the Region of Madrid respectively), two stand out for their annual growth in hotel bookings, which has been higher than the rest since early 2025. This trend has intensified over the last week. Namely: the Balearics and Madrid.
According to TravelgateX data, from 3 to 9 February, the British market is the main international source of bookings, with 23.48% of the total, followed by Germany with 3.63%. In general, hotel bookings brokered in Spain have continued to perform very positively since the start of 2025.
Currently, the three autonomous communities receiving the most hotel bookings on the B2B platform are Andalusia, Catalonia and the Canaries. However, of the six main destinations, the two regions registering the highest annual growth are the Balearics and the Region of Madrid.
