Terra Mítica goes deeper into self-consumption with 9,000 new solar panels
19 March, 2025Terra Mítica has announced that this season it will have a photovoltaic energy production plant, which will enable it to save around 60% of the theme park’s usual consumption. The installation will have approximately 9,000 solar panels with the capacity to generate a total capacity of five megawatts (5mw).
The project, which is being developed in partnership with Iberdrola, will generate over 6,700 megawatt hours per year, the equivalent of the consumption of almost 2,000 homes, i.e. a saving of more than 60% of the park’s usual consumption.

According to the company, the solar modules have been installed on the existing roofs of buildings and attractions, thus avoiding the emission of over 1.3 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.
