Gran Canaria to host 150 MICE events in 2024, with 300,000 participants

26 March, 2025

Congress tourism will bring some 300,000 visitors to Gran Canaria by 2024. This has been confirmed by Antonio Morales, president of the island’s Cabildo [town council] reminding us that they arrived to participate in over 150 events held, consolidating the island as a benchmark destination in this segment.

Morales highlighted the projects underway to modernise the Canary Islands Trade Fair Institution (Infecar) and the Gran Canaria Stadium, which will not only serve to host the 2030 World Cup but also major congresses that will promote the economic internationalisation of the island and strengthen its role as a point of connection between Europe, Africa and America.

Gran Canaria is thus making progress in its commitment to economic diversification and sustainability, investing in quality tourism that generates a positive impact on the business fabric and the international projection of the island.
