Renfe and Iberia reinforce inter-modality with five new destinations
4 June, 2025The Spanish inter-modal network is making steady progress. Renfe and Iberia have extended their joint Train&Fly programme to 20 cities, allowing travellers to purchase a single ticket to combine the train to Madrid-Barajas airport’s T4 terminal with international flights operated by Iberia. This measure aims to improve connectivity and facilitate efficient mobility from different regions to over 90 destinations outside Spain.
The five new cities incorporated into the programme are A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, Gijón and Oviedo, which join the 15 already integrated in the network. As well as the long-distance rail journey, the intermodal ticket also includes free access to the Cercanías networks in Seville, Malaga, Valencia, Alicante, Zaragoza and Barcelona, an option already available in Madrid. This extension increases the added value of the service and reinforces its usefulness for frequent travellers.

The Train&Fly system means you can synchronise schedules between trains and flights, issue a single ticket for the whole journey, reduce the total cost and guarantee solutions to possible missed connections. This commitment to inter-modality consolidates an attractive offer for both outbound and corporate tourism, in line with the needs of the professional tourism sector.
