Spain is celebrating: 8 summer verbenas

Every summer, the villages of Spain are the protagonists of original, exciting and refreshing verbenas. From tomato wars to historical re-enactments and floral parades, the popular festivals are an invitation to dive into tradition, colour and unfiltered fun.

Civitatis has selected the must-see celebrations in the summer calendar for travellers.

  • Celtic Festival (Ortigueira, Galicia): from 10 to 13 July 2025, international folk festival in a free natural paradise.
  • Sanfermines (Pamplona, Navarre): from 6 to 14 July 2025, excitement, running of the bulls and non-stop fiesta for nine days.

  • Festa Normanda (Foz, Lugo): from 9 to 11 August 2025, Vikings, legends and mediaeval atmosphere.
  • Batalla de las Flores (Laredo, Cantabria): on 29 August 2025, floral floats in a dream parade.
  • El Cipotegato (Tarazona, Zaragoza): on 27 August 2025, tomatoes, tradition and collective emotion.
