Iberia launches boarding pass that updates in real time
16 July, 2025Iberia passengers now have a dynamic digital boarding pass. The new functionality allows real-time awareness of any operational changes without the need for manual action.
The airline has introduced a boarding pass that is automatically updated if the gate number, seat or even cabin upgrade is changed. This development improves the travel experience by reducing last-minute uncertainties and unnecessary airport travel.
Changes are communicated via mobile push notifications in addition to the usual email. The service is available for those who use the Iberia app (iOS or Android) or download the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from the web.
The initiative responds to the company’s objective of offering a more agile, clear and personalised boarding process, adapted to the digital traveller’s needs.
