Renfe luxury trains are returning after the health crisis

2 March, 2022

Renfe's luxury tourist trains will resume their activity since the suspension of trips planned for the 2020 and 2021 seasons due to the health crisis. As a result of this, the company offered its customers the possibility of obtaining a 5% discount on the retail price for changing reservations already made for 2022.

However, everything is now returning to normal, and El Transcantábrico Gran Lujo, the Al Andalus Train, and the Robla Express are starting to roll again. In addition to these three luxury tourist trains, Renfe plans to reschedule thematic tourism trains that the company manages in collaboration with various tourist institutions and entities.

As an innovation this year, a new product will be added, the Costa Verde Express. The travel offers for any of the departures and itineraries of both the Al Andalus Train and the Transcantábrico Gran Lujo, those of the La Robla Express, and those of the Costa Verde Express include accommodation in a comfortable room, with a full bathroom included, in addition to the trips that are made by bus and the guides for the excursions, for which all visits and tickets are included.

Travellers are also provided with a gastronomy offering worthy of the finest gourmets, both on board the train and in the restaurants of the cities they visit. To facilitate a time of rest for the travellers, the train stops every night at a station along the route. In addition to the regular offering, trains can be rented for trips tailored to the wishes of the customer, filming, events, etc.

On the other hand, the travel ticket includes the option of enjoying a 50% discount on Ave or Alvia for shuttle trips to the starting point of the tourist itinerary and return from the trip’s final destination, exclusively for the national territory.
