The new normality means higher expenses of the British tourists in Spain

20 April, 2022

The end of the pandemic has led to a new normality in which a higher interest of British tourists in travelling to Spain is being noticed, especially thanks to the confidence produced by the massive vaccination campaign. Also, as a desirable side effect, the visitors’ expense is rallying.

The predictions point out that during 2022 the British will allocate a higher budget than that for 2021 motivated mainly by the end of some health restrictions in different countries and the need to use the vouchers derived from the cancellations suffered in 2020 before they expire.

This is what the Travellyze trust barometer data indicate, as well as showing that the number of travellers who expect to spend more money in their travels has increased 5.6%, going from 7.4% in 2021 to 13% in 2022. At the same time, 4 out of 10 travellers will spend between 1,000 and 3,000 €. These data make out a sector’s gradual recovery for next year.
