Guests can explore their hotel online

15 June, 2022

The technology company Hotelverse has joined forces with the Hotel Technology Institute (ITH) with the aim of encouraging hotels to use the devices it has developed in response to the high level of intermediation in the online booking market. Its mission is to transform the digital booking model offered by hotels, providing them with a solution that improves the user experience.

The company creates a digital replica of the hotels, which the chains can then integrate into their e-commerce system and offer prospective guests products and services inside and outside the hotel through its marketplace. Potential customers can fly over the facilities during the purchase process and adapt the view with different filters (such as views from the room, exact location within the hotel, or bed size).

In addition to the rooms, guests can also explore the rest of the facilities, learn about the services offered by the hotel, and book everything related to their stay, such as a table in the restaurant, a space for events, or a treatment in the Spa, to name just a few examples. Moving away from a “bulk” offer model based on room categories, this is a hyper-personalised hotel experience adapted to a guest’s preferences.

Hotels can assign a specific price to each room, according to its own characteristics; and at the same time users can find out the exact details of the accommodation booked. This format, which can’t be replicated by online travel agencies (OTAs), achieves a higher conversion rate and a higher average value per basket.
