UK will have more flights with Gran Canaria this winter

9 November, 2022

This winter, Gran Canaria will have 1,531,793 airline seats and direct connections with 89 airports in Europe, an increase of 15% on what was offered in the last quarter of 2022 (1,333,475 seats) and 20% compared to 2019 (1,272,747), good prospects that have been provided by Turismo de Gran Canaria.

The flight map of the destination offers direct connections with 85 European cities for October, November and December, apart from the fact that airports such as Madrid or Barcelona serve as a link or transfer for many passengers to Gran Canaria. Prospects for the second half of the winter season are still favourable with 1,599,464 airline seats for the months of January, February and March.

The panorama of airline companies has changed with the departure of Thomas Cook or the issues with Norwegian Airlines. “In recent years we have lost the notable presence of these operators but we have managed to consolidate and increased the offering of companies such as Vueling, EasyJet, Jet2, Binter and new companies like Air Baltic”, stated the Gran Canaria Tourism advisor Carlos Álamo.
