The airport of Castellón beats its operational record
23 November, 2022Castellón airport has achieved its best annual historical record of operations, with two months to go until the end of the 2022 f.y. Until 2 November, 7,766 aircraft movements have been recorded. This means that, without having completed the year yet, the aerodrome has broken its annual record for operations, exceeding 7,750 operations for all of 2020.
In this regard, the authorities have stated that this figure “shows the airport's momentum in those areas which generate aircraft movements, such as commercial traffic, aircraft parking and maintenance and the activity of flight schools”.
On the other hand, in October the highest number of passengers in this month in the airport's history was achieved, with a total of 14,955 people. This figure almost doubles that obtained in the same month of 2019, the last pre-pandemic annuity. What’s more, in the ten months of 2022 from January to October, a total of 127,226 travellers have been recorded.
