Madrid, 4th worldwide most attractive city for tourism
4 January, 2023Madrid has been chosen the fourth most attractive city in the world as a destination for tourism in 2022 and Barcelona ranks ninth, according to the annual report by Euromonitor, the UK-based market research company.
“Europe has been winning the game” in terms of global tourism in 2022, according to this document which compares the attractiveness of 100 cities around the world in six categories, which include tourism policy and activity, sustainability, infrastructure , health, safety and economic performance.
Based on these factors, and for the second consecutive year, Paris has remained in first place in the index of the 100 best tourist destinations in the world, while another eight of the ten main cities are also European. Rome is fifth and London is up two places this year to sixth place.
