What is Spain’s most sustainable restaurant in 2023?
8 March, 2023Finca Alfoliz, the sustainable restaurant of Huelva-born chef Xanty Elías, continues to win recognition for its constant commitment to the environment. The last one is the Sol Sostenible [Sustainable Sun] #AlimentosdEspaña Guía Repsol which values not only the use of local products and guarantee of origin but also the use of food, ecological actions or recycling and re-use.
But, beyond that, the new award rewards other outstanding aspects of this temple of Spanish gastronomy located in Huelva (Andalusia), such as its use of renewable energy, sustainable mobility, responsible energy management or the minimisation and compensation of the carbon footprint.
“For us, this Sun is a recognition which supports and guarantees our daily management for our natural environment real. At Finca Alfoliz, we aimed to offer our clients a gastronomic proposal which respects our environment and leaves a clear message of responsibility, in a place that they themselves could also feel, care for and value”, declared Xanty Elías.
