Madrid is the leading world destination in MICE for the 5th consecutive yea
27 December, 2023Madrid has been proclaimed the world’s leading destination for meetings and congress tourism for the fifth consecutive year. A milestone that confirms the Spanish capital as a world benchmark for hosting professional meetings. Madrid competed with 15 other winning and nominated cities in the different regional editions of the awards, including destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Las Vegas, Paris, Seoul and Singapore.
The city has once again won the confidence of the sector’s professionals, who directly select the winners in the different categories with their votes, adding a new recognition after having been chosen best meeting tourism destination at the European edition of the World Travel Awards, for the sixth consecutive time last September.
This award confirms that the city continues to position Madrid at the forefront of this tourism segment. Its good image and reputation has been built up over the last few years thanks to the exhaustive work carried out by the Town Hall to raise the city’s profile as a venue for congresses, trade fairs and meetings, with a strong commitment to public-private collaboration.
