Seville becomes one of the most visited destinations in Spain
5 June, 2024Seville has become one of the favourite destinations for international tourists, with 74% of accommodation bookings for the month of May in the Andalusian capital. The figures exceed the average for Spain, where they stand at 65% and highlight the importance of this segment for Seville hoteliers.
According to a study by SiteMinder, the foreign travellers who contribute most to bookings in Seville at the start of the summer come from France, Italy, the UK, the USA, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada and Ireland, respectively. However, in relation to the country as a whole, the top three places go to France, the UK and Germany.
According to data from this platform, room bookings in Seville have so far exceeded last year’s figures by 35%. As for the prices applied according to data from the Seville Hotel Association, the average price per room in 2023 reached €115, an increase of 11.93% compared to the average of €103 in 2022.
