Is there room for luxury hotels to grow in Mallorca?

17 July, 2024

The summer of 2024 will be Borja García’s first as General Manager of St. Regis Mardavall, and his aim is for the brand’s only hotel in Spain to consolidate its position as a benchmark of luxury, with increasingly premium and sustainable proposals, which also help to extend the season in Mallorca.

In an interview, Hosteltur asked him about the evolution of luxury tourism in Mallorca and about the prospects that are opening up for this type of tourism on the islands, and this is what he answered: “Mallorca is a destination that has everything, because it has fantastic infrastructures, it is very open to nature, to sport and to nautical activities”, he said.

According to García, “we are in an excellent position, compared to other destinations that have good hotels, but there is nothing around. I am very happy with all the services available on the island and also with the resident and guest profile, very elegant, very polite and who value positively everything we do in St. Regis for the community and the wealth we generate with suppliers and partners we have on the island”, he remarked.
