Valencia will have a hotel complex in a palace in the old city centre
7 August, 2024Valencia City Council, through the Department of Urban Planning, has granted planning permission to the construction company Lovatres to convert the Palacio de los Eixarchs into a hotel and tourist apartment complex. Refurbishment should start within 6 months and be completed within 24 months.
The historic building is located in the district of El Pilar, in the vicinity of the Central Market. The project involves the refurbishment of the three buildings located at Calle Eixarchs 3, 5 and 7, and the construction of two new buildings. All these buildings will be part of the same complex and will share common rooms.
The hotel and tourist apartment complex will consist of three buildings: The Eixarchs Building (refurbishment and extension) and the Boatella Building (new construction), both for hotel use, and the Valeriola Building (also new construction) which will house the tourist flats and a two-basement car park under the Boatella and Valeriola buildings with access from Eixarchs.
