Bilbao will have a new luxury voco hotel before the summer
12 February, 2025IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and Continuum Hotel Management are collaborating again to open a third hotel together, in this case under the premium voco Hotels brand. The project is a franchise and is expected to see the light of day “during the first half of 2025”, according to Diego Álvarez, IHG’s Development Director for Iberia.
The voco Bilbao-City, located 10 minutes from the city centre, will open after the conversion of an existing hotel and will have 91 rooms, a spacious lobby and common areas. The new hotel has been managed by Continuum since August last year and is operating normally while the rebranding is taking place.
The outlook for the voco Bilbao-City is positive because the destination offers “opportunities in all segments, as the city welcomes both business and leisure guests throughout the year”. This will be the brand’s second establishment in Spain, where it is already present in Madrid. In 2026, voco will make its debut in Granada.
