Spain has two of the world’s main cruise ports
19 February, 2025In the global ranking of the main cruise hubs, drawn up by Statista, two Spanish cities also feature. In fifth position is the port of Barcelona, with 3.56 million passengers in this category received in 2023, and another 3.13 million in 2022, which represents a considerable increase over 2019, with 2.33 million cruise passengers.
On the same list, the port of Palma de Mallorca appears in 11th position, with 1.89 million cruise passengers in 2023, while in 2022 the figure reached 1.38 million, to which a further 2.21 million can be added in 2019. Worldwide, there were 35.7 million cruise passengers in 2024, with an overall increase of 12%, which also positively affects Spanish ports.
