Did you know that Mallorca has more than 300 MICE facilities?
9 March, 2022The island of Mallorca, in addition to offering a wide range of holiday tourism, has other lesser-known but equally interesting wonders. Among them, the more than 300 facilities specifically prepared to meet the MICE demand stand out, many of them located in hotels spread throughout its territory.
The new features for 2022 have been presented under the slogan 'Mallorca is MICE', and the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, has pointed out the island's commitment to excellence as a landmark destination for this tourist segment, based on the experience, professionalism, safety and quality that it offers.
In addition to its main infrastructures, headed by the Palma Conference Centre or the Auditorium -also in the Balearic capital- there are others, including several halls and specific hotel establishment areas, among which stands out the Victoria Convention Centre belonging to Melia Hotels International.
The examples are many and include facilities dedicated to science, such as the Biotechnology and Biomedicine Business Park (ParcBit); the University of the Balearic Islands, which offers R&D activities; and a combination of three renowned research schools in Europe: IMEDEA, IFISC and INAGEA.
On the other hand, the proposed modern and cosmopolitan MICE of Mallorca is inextricably linked to the island’s entire cultural offering, where museums, galleries and art centres join a unique historical heritage in the Mediterranean.
